If I was still pursuing my journalism degree (which I'm not because there are no jobs there) I would probably cover how some shops of new york have closed their doors and online sites due to this recession that has actually kicked their asses - OR- interviewed some kids that have had to sell all their prized possessions to pay bills while they look for new jobs they've been laid off from - OR - an editorial on how Sole Collector Magazine is just a huge ongoing Greek goddess commercial.
