
The motivation was an iPad to the person with the most miles ran after 31 days. I started out in the lead for the first couple of weeks in the challenge putting up 20, 30, 40 miles. Then, suddenly, these two (runners 1 and 2) come out of no where! Putting up 10-25 miles per day, consistently. Up until the last day when they guy in second dethroned the guy in first with 6.xx miles to secure his iPad and losing 18 pounds in the process. I held down my 3rd spot the entire time and although I may not win a consolation prize (they're raffling other prizes for runners in the top 20) but I did lose 10 pounds this month, I consider that a win!
